The SSC public examinations commenced in the district on Monday. The examination in first language first paper went off smoothly all over the district.

Three students were debarred on the first day, one at Paderu and two in Araku Valley, for resorting to malpractice.

According to reports reaching here, candidates appearing for the examination at several schools in the Paderu area had to write the examination squatting on the floor as benches and desks were not provided.

Special buses

All over the district APSRTC operated special buses to help the students reach the examinations centres and to return home after completing the examination. Drinking water and other facilities were provided and uninterrupted power supply was provided during the examination time. Police bandobust was provided at the examination centres while prohibitory orders under Sec. 144 were in force around all the examination centres.

Parents or elders were seen taking their children to the examination centres.

They waited till the examination was over or came back to the centres at noon to take the children back to home.
