Minister for Roads and Buildings Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu inspected various sites for setting up of an ‘Anna Canteen’ at Narsipatnam in the district.
The objective of ‘Anna Canteens’, being set up by the Telugu Desam government, is to provide food to travellers coming from the rural areas at cheap rates. Meals would be provided at ₹ 5 at this canteen, the Minister said. RDO K. Surya Rao and Municipal Commissioner Surendra and Tahsildar V.V. Ramana accompanied the Minister during the inspection.
