With his frantic efforts for a job leading him nowhere and his bitter experience as a bachelor in not getting tasty food from mushrooming curry points, he has finally hit upon a novel idea.

Oozing confidence, 25-year-old Namburu Sandeep, a native of Srikakulam and hailing from a middle class family, who completed MBA in 2012 from Avanthi, has started a mobile curry point — SVS (Sri Venkateswara) Mobile Curry Point.

After several sleepless nights, he felt that the growing metropolis lacks a mobile service in serving dishes required by students. Of late, the city has been attracting students from Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh in large numbers.

“As a student, I was not happy with the quality and quantity of curries I used to get from the usual curry points. Hence, I thought, “Let me start in an innovative way to dish out curries as well as meal at an affordable price to benefit the student community. My thrust is on quality, taste, as well as quantity,” he told The Hindu on Thursday.

After buying a Tata Ace vehicle and modifying it to suit the requirement with an investment of Rs.1.80 lakh, Sandeep, son of an RTC employee, inaugurated his maiden venture near Dr. V.S. Krishna Government College on Wednesday.

“There will be teething troubles . I am aware of it, but every successful enterprise has a small beginning,” he said .

Once he earns a brand value, he wants to spread his network. He also plans to offer catering and delivery for bulk orders. Sandeep can be reached on 9885922572. He serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

His friend, Sudhir, an MCA student of Andhra University, says they are confident that Sandeep would emerge as a successful entrepreneur soon.
