A film with fresh faces, Boochodu, was launched at the Vinayaka temple at the foothill of Rama Naidu Studio at Rushikonda near here on Monday.

The film’s hero Naval Kishore and heroine Radhamadhu and supporting cast Anil and Priya were quite nervous when veteran producer D. Rama Naidu sounded the clapper board. However, all of them touched his feet and sought his blessings in their first endeavour.

Managing Director of CMR Group M. Venkataramana who switched on the camera hoped the city would soon emerge as a film production hub.

According to director B. Jagadish, the film, produced by Kartikeya Movies, revolved around college life and later will shift to a forest where the happenings revolve around an ‘atma’. Bhanuchander will don the role of an inspector who will solve the mystery. Raasi, Purnima and Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao will also be part of the cast. The shooting will take place at Vizianagaram.

Naval Kishore says he attended film workshops, learnt dancing and trained in taekwondo.

Radhamadhu plays a bubbly, college girl. Dharani of Artistes’ Factory was present.
