Ayyanna Patrudu, Anakapalle MP Muttasetti Srinivasa Rao, MLAs and MLCs felt that people would stand benefited if the 250 doctors and other staff and equipment now lying idle were shifted to VIMS immediately.
Briefing reporters TDP urban district president and Visakha South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar and rural district president and Elamanchili MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu said the new ESI Hospital construction would take another two years.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya had participated in the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
The meeting felt the need for expediting completion of Bus Rapid Transit System in Visakhapatnam, solving the land issue of ‘panchagramalu’ (five villages) of Simhachalam and shifting of pollution-hit villagers of Tadi near Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City by bringing it to the notice of the Cabinet.
