YSR Congress Party’s star campaigner Sharmila concluded the election campaign on Monday by conducting several road shows in different parts of the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency. Ms Sharmila along with her mother Y.S. Vijayamma, Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha candidate and party candidates for Assembly segments renewed her appeal to support YSRC on the development plank.

In her road shows at Madhurawada, which falls under Bheemunipatnam Assembly segment, Saraswathi Park in the city and Arilova on city suburbs, Ms Sharmila urged people to wholeheartedly support her brother Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s bid to bring in Rajanna Rajyam. She assured that Vizag would have a bright future under the YSRCP regime.

“You are not indebted to our family but we are indebted to you for extending wholehearted support after Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s demise”, Ms. Sharmila said. Ms Sharmila continued her tirade against Telugu Desam president Chandrababu Naidu, his failure as Chief Minister and apathy towards people. She was also critical of the Congress government at the Centre. Dismissing Pawan Kalyan’s utterances against Mr Jaganmohan, she said it is better to ignore the film actor.

Ms. Vijayamma in her speech recalled YSR’s love for Visakhapatnam and said she decided to stand from Vizag seat to fulfil his plans for its future.
