December 09, 2011 11:41 am | Updated 11:41 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

A share analyst received a threat letter and a bullet from an anonymous person at CBM Compound in the city on Thursday.

G. Krishna, a resident of Chandra Teja Apartment, is a private share analyst.

He found a letter in front of his house on Wednesday in which the anonymous person demanded Rs.1 crore.

The accused threatened to kill him, if he informed the police.

The victim went to the police station but went back without lodging a complaint, perhaps, due to fear of retaliation.

On Thursday morning, he found another cover containing a letter and a live bullet near the lift.

The accused said that he had come to know that Krishna had tried to contact the police and threatened to kill him if he repeated the mistake..

The victim informed the Three Town police and they seized the letter and bullet.

“The accused asked the share analyst to arrange for payment of Rs.1 crore and said a boy would call him from either of the two numbers given in the second letter.

The numbers were found to be false.

We are trying to find out from where the accused had obtained the bullet,” Inspector Lakshmana Murthy said.
