Dark clouds hovering over the skyline, high tidal waves that lashed the coast just a couple of months ago, Kursura Submarine Museum that was hit by cyclone, a collapsed hut of a fisherman, and a host of seascapes are some of the solo watercolour paintings at an exhibition put up by Naresh Mahanta, an artist from Odisha.

Supported by the GVMC, the show has about 20 exhibits that bring out the gloomy shades of cyclone Hudhud in varying forms.

Buoyed by last year’s response, Naresh said that he was all the more excited to present his second edition with cyclone as its theme.

After inaugurating the exhibition on Friday, Mayank Kumari, who attended as chief guest, said that people of the city should encourage artists from other States too. Curator of the museum M.N.A. Patrudu was present.

The exhibition is on till Sunday at Visakha Museum from 12 noon to 8 p.m. every day.
