Seminar on safety concludes

The two-day all-India seminar on “Role of safety management in optimising productivity” conducted by the local centre of the Institution of Engineers concluded on Sunday.

Scientist ‘G’ and Associate Director and Head of Quality, Reliability and Safety, NSTL, S.V.S. Chari who was the chief guest reiterated the importance of safety with rapidly increasing industrialisation and narrated the safety experiences he had at the helm.

Convener of the seminar S. V. S. Sudhakar spoke on the two-day proceedings.

Co-convener B.S.S. Vithal, I. Satyanarayana and Dr. Sudhakar presented papers. Senior Manager Safety (HOD), ESSAR Steel India Limited, Muralidhar Rao spoke on “Occupational stress in safety management.” Former chairman and council member Venkatasubbaiah spoke.
