Seminar on engineering twinning programme

April 16, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:50 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

The Hindu and Manipal University are organising an international engineering twinning programme here on April 17, to create awareness about the academic programme that is helpful to those aiming to pursue overseas education from the graduate level.

Faculty and officials from Manipal University will clear the doubts of parents and students.

During the course, a student studies the first and second years of engineering programme at Manipal University and the third and fourth years at a premier foreign university located in the U.S., U.K., Australia or Canada, based on his or her choice and profile and gets the degree in engineering from the foreign university. The student can plan his or her career either in India or abroad.

The academic programme is offered through the International Centre for Applied Sciences (ICAS) of Manipal University. ICAS has tied up with 34 prestigious partner universities, thus offering a wide range of universities from which the ICAS students can pursue their final two years.

This unique programme is made possible by adopting all the teaching and evaluation methods that are followed by universities abroad, thus enabling an easy transfer from Manipal to any foreign university.

The students also benefit from the flexibility of choosing or changing the branch or major area of specialisation after entering the programme at foreign universities.

The advantages with this programme are getting an international engineering degree and international placements; face-to-face interactions with partner-university delegates; experiencing global education standards; good financial benefits; able to get a strong foundation and support in documentation process.

The programme would be held at Hotel Dolphin between 10 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. and The Hindu office can be called on 0891-2536159/2536160/2536161 for registration.
