Seminar in Visakhapatnam on energy conservation

A two-day seminar called “Green and Safe Summit” organised by the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) and Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI), Visakhapatnam chapter, concluded here on Sunday.

The summit aimed at creating awareness on latest trends and practices on energy conservation air-conditioning equipment, electrical equipment, fire safety and CCTV surveillance for security and the concept of green buildings with focus on energy conservation and security aspects in the view of increased use of air-conditioning and electrical equipment.

The programme was inaugurated by GITAM University President M.V.V.S. Murthi. Director General of AP Disaster Response and Fire Services N. Sambasiva Rao lauded the efforts put in by the FSAI and the ISHRAE

Chief of Staff of the ENC Vice-Admiral Bimal Kumar Varma and MD of Bluestar Limited Satish Jamdar spoke at the inaugural. Regional Managing Director of AECOM Building Engineering Ashish Rakheja stressed the importance of using natural resources to cut down power consumption in new buildings.
