Foot-tapping music from one of the top DJs of Bollywood, perfect seaside ambience, and sizzling moves by salsa dancers made for a memorable weekend for people of the city, who bid adieu to the last Saturday of the year in style at Vizag Dance’13 beach party organised by Euphoria Outdoors at Hotel Palm Beach.

Right from retro to rock-and-roll and racy Bollywood numbers, the revellers were taken on a fun-filled musical journey by Mumbai’s DJ Tejas.

But what added momentum and rhythm to the evening was the energetic dexterous salsa performance by dance instructors — Prithvi and Ree.

The couple made every move seem effortless as they changed the pace and style of their moves synchronising with the beats of the DJ.

Professional dancers from Bangalore, Prithvi and Ree had recently conducted a jive and salsa dance workshop in the city. Their team also performed at the musical night, heating up the dance floor with their moves.

The addictive quality inherent in the rhythm of salsa soon brought the guests on to the dance floor.

Starting this year, the organisers plan to make the musical event an annual feature that will be held during the last weekend of every year and bring in live bands, performers, and guest DJs.
