A Sadhbhavana yatra was conducted by the District Police at Balapam village of Chintapalli mandal in the district on Tuesday as part of Community Policing.

The village is located at about 15 km from Annavaram Police Station close to the Andhra Odisha border.

A medical camp and ‘face-to-face’ with Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma was organised.

The tribal people sought laying of road from Rallagedda to Korukonda, and provision of drinking water facilities apart from construction of a new building for the school and provision of houses under NTR Housing scheme.

The SP said he would bring their problems to the notice of the Collector and strive to alleviate their problems. He presented cardboard and pens to the children and promised to provide a computer and a projector to the village school. The SP and local police officials had community meals with the tribal people, who attended the programme.

Mr. Sharma said development works had received a boost after the establishment of the Police Outpost at Rallagedda.
