Promising to get a new railway zone for the State of Andhra Pradesh with headquarters in the city, Anakapalle MP and vice-president of Jai Samaikyandhra Party Sabbam Hari has announced that he will contest from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency.

The people of the region were good and had returned the outsiders who contested the Visakhapatnam LS seat. Unfortunately, these leaders did nothing for the constituency. The people deserved a leader from the region who was aware of the local issues and was keen on addressing them, Mr. Hari said addressing the media here on Thursday. He took a dig at the earlier representatives saying that it pained him to see huge hoardings come up at regular intervals welcoming the MP.

Mr. Hari said that though he was not keen on contesting for the Assembly, there was pressure on him to do so and he would also contest from Visakhapatnam North Assembly segment.

The JSP, which did not appear to have any serious players when it was formed, was now set to contest all the 175 Assembly segments in Andhra Pradesh and there were many leaders who would be joining the party in the coming days. A number of celebrities too were keen on joining the party and they would be doing so in the coming days, he added.

Further, the party had already got an in-principle agreement on seat sharing with the CPI (M). The CPI too was keen on going along with the CPI(M) and so the three parties together would form a significant political force at the hustings.
