An awareness meeting for prospective bidders, interested in taking up development projects on Build Operate Transfer (BOT)-basis on RTC lands, was held at the Dwaraka Bus Station Complex of APS RTC here on Friday.

The RTC officials gave a PowerPoint presentation on the proposed lease of land at bus stations at S. Kota in Vizianagaram district and Chodavaram in Visakhapatnam district. Details like the extent of land available and bid security amount were given in the presentation.

Executive Director (Operations) G.V. Ramana Rao and Director (Central projects) R. Sashidhar clarified the doubts raised by the bidders like possible objections being raised by the panchayats or civic bodies as at some places bus station lands were involved in civil disputes. Mr. Ramana Rao said that the land titles were clear and there was no cause for apprehensions among bidders.

The corporation would take up responsibility of land conversion from the civic body concerned and hence there was no cause for worry. The bidders could also check the original documents available with the corporation and satisfy themselves.

Executive Director (Vizianagaram Zone) A. Ramakrishna, Regional Manager Y. Jagadeesh Babu and deputy chief traffic managers P. Jeevan Prasad (rural) and A. Veeraiah Choudhury (urban) were among those who attended.

The tender document is available online and can be downloaded from the website www.apsrtc.gov.in . The last date for filing of tenders is up to 3 p.m. on May 12.

The applications along with the necessary enclosures and the requisite fee should be submitted in Hyderabad by that date.
