Rashtriya Swamyam Sevak (RSS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were indulging in false propaganda that there was breakdown of law and order and forcible religious conversions were taking place in Kerala, alleged Palakkad M.P. M.B. Rajesh here on Monday.

Mr Rajesh was in the city to participate in a meeting, organised by the CPI(M), to protest against the alleged attack by the BJP on the CPI(M) offices across the country.

When his attention was drawn to the alleged forcible conversion of Hindus in Kerala, Mr. Rajesh dismissed it as ‘false propaganda’ to defame the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government. He said that President Ram Nath Kovind had described Kerala as ‘the power house of India’.

Mr. Rajesh said Kerala has got the certificate from the First Citizen of India and does not need any certificate by the BJP or the RSS. He described the recent BJP yatra (Janaraksha Yatra) in Kerala was aimed at maligning the LDF government.

The CPI(M) MP said that the growth rate in Kerala was far better than most other States. Though the State GDP of Gujarat was ahead of Kerala, in terms of social development index Kerala was far ahead of Gujarat.

Referring to the advice by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adithyanath asking Kerala to learn from the health care system in UP, Mr. Rajesh wondered as to how Mr. Adithyanath, whose State had witnessed a furore over the death of a large number of infants, could ask Kerala to learn from his State.

Mr. Rajesh said the Left Front government was implementing several revolutionary and far-reaching welfare measures in Kerala.
