Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah on Sunday unveiled the logo of Vaisakhi Nrityotsav-2012 at a programme at Government Circuit House.

Academy’s achievement

He lauded the academy’s achievement in conducting the festival for the 5th successive year and also for showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the country.

Festival director Battina Vikram Goud said the festival from September 8 to 11 would present eight classical dance forms.

Apart from performances by renowned exponents such as Swapna Sundari and Uma Dogra, among others, local youth would also be given an opportunity.

Former Vice-Chancellor of Krishna University J.V. Prabhakar, Kankatala Mallik, and Pydah Krishna Prasad were present.
