Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivas and Visakhapatnam West MLA Malla Vijay Prasad have reiterated their stand against bifurcation.

At a meeting organised by the Uttarandhra Rakshana Vedika to release the road map for integrated development of north Andhra here on Tuesday, Mr. Srinivas appreciated the work done by former principal of AU College of Engineering R.V. Rama Rao and his team for making a comprehensive study on the backwardness of north Andhra and their suggestions for its integrated development. Mr. Vijay Prasad recalled that during the last nine years, the backward regions of Telangana were developed at the cost of other regions. Srikakulam and Vizianagaram remained among the most backward districts in the State. “They are only talking of the backwardness of Telangana while failing to identify the backward region of north Andhra. The maximum migration of people was witnessed from this region and this was due to lack of employment and other opportunities,” he said.
