Identifying himself with the employees of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Chairman and Managing Director of RINL P. Madhusudan inspected residential quarters in various sectors in Ukkunagaram in a surprise visit on Thursday night.

First hand information

Getting first hand information about the condition of the quarters and the state of facilities being extended to the employees residing in the township, the CMD aimed to give a fillip to welfare measures being provided to them . He interacted with several employees and their family members and asked them about the maintenance and operational aspects of the township and also sought their suggestions to improve the facilities.

While interacting with the employees, he impressed upon them the need to maintain the quarters clean and green since Ukkunagaram has been recognised as a “Greens Paradise” in the entire steel industry.

He reminded the employees that the temperature in the township is 4-5º Celsius lower than the city due to thick vegetation and underscored the need to maintain it properly. He emphasised the need of greater cooperation from each and every resident to make Ukkunagaram an ideal township in Indian industries.

The employees and their family members expressed happiness on seeing the CMD, who was at their doorstep.

Later, the CMD discussed with Town Administration officials and advised them to improve the facilities and redress the grievances with out delay.
