Rich tributes paid to Netaji

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was remembered by the city people on his 117th birth anniversary here on Thursday. Rotary Club, Vizag Metro paid floral tributes to the Father of the Indian Freedom by unveiling his statue at GVMC Elementary School. Retired Army officer K. Nageswar Rao was felicitated on the occasion. President of BJP city unit P. V. Narayana Rao, senior BJP leader P.V. Chalapathi Rao and Rotarians of Vizag Metro, apart from all the students and teachers of the school, participated in the programme. Chocolates and fruits were distributed to the schoolchildren.

In another event, students of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan paid rich tributes to Netaji where Wing Commander, Commanding Officer 6 (A) Air, Squadron NCC P. Rajendra and Y.V.N. Chandra Sekhar, scientist at NSTL, director of the school Ch. Vasu Prakash and school students garlanded the statue of Subhash Chandra Bose on the Beach Road.
