‘Revoke GO on bauxite mining’

CPI(M) leader urges Naidu to make announcement during his visit

CPM district secretary K. Lokanadham demanded that the Chief Minister should make an announcement revoking GO 97 on bauxite mining during his Agency tour on Tuesday.

The government should also come out with a timeline for launching the Girijan University identifying the location.

He also criticised not issuing fresh pattas under Forest Rights Act.

Even as the demand for Railway Zone for Visakhapatnam was not met, including it in Station Redevelopment Plan under public-private-partnership was not justified, he said.
