Rain likely in coastal AP, Rayalaseema

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and at isolated places over Rayalaseema on Monday. The low pressure area over Jharkhand and adjoining Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal persists. The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to mid tropospheric levels. The trough on sea level running from Odisha to South Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh persists. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) received during the last 24 hours ending 8.30 a.m. on Sunday are: Visakhapatnam Airport 7, Visakhapatnam 4, Narsipatnam (Vishakhapatnam) 3, Chintapalli (Vishakhapatnam) 3, Anakapalle (Vishakhapatnam) 2 and Araku Valley (Vishakhapatnam) 2.
