Rain effect: some trains cancelled

The torrential rain during the past few days caused waterlogging on the tracks at some places in the section between Palasa and Khurda Road. This led to cancellation of some trains on Saturday also while others were either regulated or diverted. The trains cancelled on Saturday are:

Train No. 12703 Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express scheduled to leave Howrah at 7:25 a.m., 12245 Howrah-Yesvantpur Duronto Express scheduled to leave Howrah at 11 a.m., 02851 Santragachi-Kochuveli Weekly Puja Special scheduled to leave Santragachi at 4:05 p.m., 08041 Santragachi-Chennai AC Superfast Weekly Puja Special scheduled to leave Santragachi at 7 p.m., 12839 Howrah-Chennai Mail scheduled to leave Howrah at 11:45 p.m., train no. 18463 Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Prashanthi Express, train no. 18411 Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Intercity Express, train no. 22817 Howrah-Mysore express, train no. 17015 Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad Visakha Express and train no. 12842 Chennai-Howrah Coramandel express.

Train no. 22855 Santragachi-Tirupati Express, scheduled to leave Santragachi at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday (Oct 27) has been cancelled due to late running of link rake, and no.18495 Rameswaram-Bhubaneswar Weekly express, scheduled to leave Rameswaram at 8 a.m. on Sunday (Oct 27) has been cancelled due to cancellation of train no.18496 Bhubaneswar-Rameswaram weekly express on Oct 25.
