The Railway Board has appealed to all train passengers to do away with their ‘loud talk’ on their mobile phones and use of objectionable ring tones.
It has advised all passengers to keep their mobile phones in ‘silent/vibration’ mode and their ring tone volume very low.
Spate of complaints
The Board has issued the appeal considering the ‘displeasure’ expressed by a large number of passengers on “loud talking over cell phones, long conversations, objectionable ring tones buzzing in high volumes inside the compartments, especially inside the A.C. coaches. The Railway Board has decided to ensure the comfort level of passengers with advice to all rail-users to completely restrict their loud talking and objectionable ring tones, according to a statement issued by Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division of East Coast Railway B. Ramana Rao.
