Railway employee found dead under suspicious circumstances

P. Prasad, a railway employee, aged 40, died under suspicious circumstances on Saturday.

His wife, constable in RPF, found him unconscious in their house in Old Jail Road area and immediately took him to a nearby hospital.

He was declared brought dead.

The Two Town Police registered a case.

Dies in accident

A driver of heavy earthmover working at the Anrak Aluminium Company died near Rachapalli in Makavarapalem mandal in the district on Saturday when he was hit by another vehicle.

The accident took place when Kovuri Suresh, 27, hailing from Chilakaluripeta in Guntur went for a nature's call. He was rushed to Makavarapalem Area Hospital by 108 Ambulance where he died while undergoing treatment.

Ganja seized

The Two Town Police arrested K. Vijay Kumar of Munchingput while moving suspiciously near the Dwaraka bus complex on Saturday. He was carrying two bags of ganja valued at Rs.30,000. He was sent for remand.
