QC convention begins

The two-day chapter convention of Quality Circle Forum of India began here on Thursday with participation of 87 teams consisting of 575 Quality Circles, 5S team members, facilitators and coordinators from 14 organisations.

Representatives from Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, NTPC-Simhadri, Naval Dockyard, Naval Armament Depot, Bhillai Steel Plant, Parry Industries, NTPC- Ramagundam, NTPC-Kaniha, JUSCO-Jamshedpur, ITC Anaparthy, Abhijeet Ferro Tech and Aurobindo Pharma are participating.

Chapter convention is an important event in the annual activities of QCFI as it acts as a prelude to the national convention on quality circles held every year. This year, national convention will be held in Kolkata from December 20 to 23. The Quality Circle teams selected here will be participating in the above convention at national level.

RINL Executive Director (Operations) D.N. Rao inaugurated the 13 chapter convention.

NTPC Simhadri General Manager (Projects) Santosh James was among those who participated.
