Four persons, among those protesting against establishment of a nuclear plant in Srikakulam district were allegedly confined to the Ranasthalam police station while they were preparing to submit a memorandum to Chief Minster N. Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to the district on Thursday.
Environmentalists here alleged that the protestors - D. Govinda Rao, P. Tejeswara Rao, Ch. Suresh Kumra and Kuna Ramam – were told by the J.R. Puram SI that they would be allowed to meet the Chief Minister but were taken to the Ranasthalam police station instead.
