Protest continues for unified State

Rallies and protest were organised at various places in the city on Wednesday as part of the ongoing agitation being organised by Samaikyandhra Joint Action Committee.

A rasta roko was organised on the National Highway at Maddilapalem under the aegis of the Samaikhyandhra Student JAC.

Addressing the gathering, its convener Lagudu Govinda Rao alleged that the Telangana leaders like KK and Jana Reddy were seeking bifurcation of the State for their vested political gains. He demanded implementation of the 6{+t}{+h} Recommendation made by the Sri Krishna Committee.

Student Joint Action Committee leaders Mohan Reddy and Suresh and Mahila wing convener Nirmala Raman were among those who participated.

A human chain was formed near the TTD Kalyana Mandapam under the aegis of the Samaikhyandhra JAC. Children of various schools and colleges held up traffic for sometime.

JAC convener A. Kishore said that the Telangana leaders were trying to divide the State for own selfish interests.
