Proposals sought on integrated textile parks

The Central government has sought proposals from industry associations, group of entrepreneurs, and special purpose vehicles for setting up of integrated textile parks.

The sanction will be made under a special project during the remaining part of the 12 Five Year Plan (April 2012-March 2017).

The government support under the scheme by way of grant or equity will be limited to 40 per cent of the project cost, subject to a ceiling of Rs.40 crore.

The units to be set up in the park will also be eligible to get additional concessions on likely conferment of special category status to Andhra Pradesh.

The government has empanelled project management consultants for identification of projects and preparation of detailed project reports. Guidelines and other details can be accessed from the website www.texmin.nic.in.

Interested have to submit detailed project through any of the project management consultants to R.K. Srivastava, Under Secretary (SITP), Ministry of Textiles, 339-B, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi by July 7.
