Focus on VUDA’s vacant plots and housing units spread over 21 layouts

Minister for Ports and Infrastructure Ganta Sreenivasa Rao visited the nine-day VUDA Property Show-2013 formally inaugurated by district Collector V. Seshadri earlier on Saturday. The Minister, accompanied by VUDA Vice-Chairman N.Yuvaraj, went round the property pictorial show set up to focus on development of townships, and also the remaining unsold vacant plots and houses spread over 21 layouts developed by the urban development body.

Impressive pictures projecting housing projects developed in the midst of hills and valleys and lush green environment has been displayed to catch the attention of the general public.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the urban body, which lost track of its original vision to provide affordable housing to the economically weaker sections and the middle class, has been asked to take steps in the direction and restore the original glory of VUDA. The auction system being followed by it was distancing the common man from its housing projects. Hereafter plots would be allotted by a system of draw.
