Principal Secretary visits JNNURM works

Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, T.S. Appa Rao on Thursday visited several works taken up under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNRUM) in the city.

He visited the pump house of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Jodugullapalem and suggested the supply of treated water as bulk water to industries.

He inspected the houses constructed at Survey no.27/179 and interacted with the beneficiaries. At Kommadi, he wanted the cracks to the housing units to be rectified. He planted saplings provided by Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools and Gayatri Vidya Parishad at Madhurawada and Kommadi respectively.

At Bakkannapalem, he inspected the water supply lines and later, the Endada balancing reservoir. He saw the ongoing Bus Rapid Transit System works at Pineapple Colony. Commissioner V.N. Vishnu accompanied him.
