District Collector N. Yuvaraj told the principals and chief superintendents of colleges to complete preparations for the Intermediate examination, to be conducted from March 11 to 31, and ensure that the examination was held without a hitch.
At a meeting held here on Thursday, Mr. Yuvaraj said the police, APSRTC, power, GVMC, medical and health, Revenue and other departments were asked to provide necessary support at every examinations centre. Every examination centre must have desks and benches for the students to write the examination comfortably.
Eleven centres were identified where there might be some trouble and they would be under the surveillance of CC cameras and engineering students would be ready with their laptops to assist the officials. Regional Inspection Officer of Board of Intermediate Jayasri said 93,255 students of both junior and senior Intermediate had registered themselves for the examination in addition to 7,291 for the Vocational Intermediate programme. The examinations would be held at 111 centres— 55 in urban, 41 in rural and 15 in Agency areas.
