Pratyusha feted

National girls’ under-17 chess champion Bodda Pratyusha, was felicitated by the Sri Prakash educational institutions at Payakaraopeta recently.

Pratyusha, who is being sponsored by the Sri Prakash educational institutions, visited the Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan at Payakaraopeta, the school where she studied, after winning the National title at Kanpur last month. Secretary and correspondent of the Sri Prakash institutions Ch.V.K. Narasimha Rao felicitated Pratyusha on her success and wished more success in the future. The chess player shared her experience with the pupils.

Pratyusha joined the school in 2003 and received sponsorship. She won the National under-7 championship in 2004 and the National under-9 championship in 2006. Pratyusha secured three International Master norms and is on the verge of becoming IM.
