Prasad takes over as RINL Director

RINL Executive Director G.B.S. Prasad on Thursday took over as the new Director (personnel) of the company.

Chairman-cum-Managing Director P. Madhusudan congratulated Mr. Prasad on his elevation as Director (personnel) and wished him good luck. Trade union leaders also met and congratulated him on his new posting. He has published 25 articles, authored two books on HRM and industrial democracy. He worked in HAL, NTPC, and CCS Ltd.

Mr. Prasad is a post-graduate in industrial relations and labour welfare. He has done BL, MBA (HRM) and M. Phil in labour studies. He was awarded doctorate by Andhra University for his work in industrial relations and personnel management.

He played a key role in shaping CSR policy and turning around Visakhapatnam Steel Plant when it faced the threat of getting referred to BIFR as a sick unit.

Mr. Prasad has vast experience of over 35 years in Human Resources Management with proven track record. He has held various key positions in RINL from operating to corporate level.

One of the major areas of contribution is the establishing of new work culture committing to organisational objectives of the company. As part of this, several initiatives were taken such as multi-skill and multi-trade concept, overlapping shifts and job rotation.
