Power supply affected by heavy gales and rain in Vizianagaram, East Godavari and Visakhapatnam circle areas was restored by Saturday evening.
Nearly 19 feeders (33KV Feeders, 11KV Feeders) and 250 poles (11kv poles, LT poles) were damaged or totally uprooted. Nearly 35 km. of various types of LT lines were damaged. In spite of the rains and strike of the APEPDCL staff, the higher authorities engaged the contract labour for completing the work of electrification even though rain continued in Vizianagaram district.
APEPDCL Chairman and Managing Director M.V. Seshagiri Babu, Director (Operations) P. Ram Mohan, Chief General Manager K.S.N. Murthy and SEs D. Satyanarayana, N. Gangadhar and Ch. Sathyanarayana Reddy monitored the power restoration work.
