Managements of educational institutions and drivers of the public transport ferrying students must carry a poster on the rules and regulations to follow on the vehicle, City Commissioner of Police B Shivadhar Reddy said.

According to an official statement issued here on his behalf on Saturday, the Commissioner has directed that according to an order of the State Government all the buses and autos carrying students must carry a 6”x8” board displaying the regulations for drivers. The board must be clear and visible for the students as well as their parents to read, he said. The city police chief released posters at his office here on Saturday.

He urged the managements of the educational institutions to ensure that the boards were clearly placed on their vehicles and that the pamphlets on traffic safety were distributed among the students.

He directed the police officers to take steps to distribute pamphlets among students and other stakeholders.
