Port sets record indischarge of logs

Visakhapatnam Port set a new record on Saturday in discharge of imported logs. A new record was set by discharging 3,036 tonnes in 22 hours and 30 minutes from m.v. Naimun Nasir in West Quay-4 berth surpassing previous record of 2,799 tonne in 19 hours and 45 minutes.

The agents and stevedoring was done by Synergy Shipping Pvt. Ltd. Inter-carting operation was handled by Berry Logistics Pvt. Ltd. Synergy Shipping managing director M. Venugopal thanked the port officials, workers and others for their cooperation in achieving the record.
