Police get pat

State Panchayat Raj Minister Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu is all praise for the police who played a significant role in the relief and restoration work in the Hudhud-affected areas. He was addressing the policemen on the occasion of the Police Commemoration Day here on Tuesday.

“The role of policemen has changed over the years. Today, they are multi-functional and their duty ranges from protecting the borders to fighting insurgency and from ensuring law and order to controlling crime,” said the Minister.
