The premier depot ship of Eastern Naval Command – INS Circars – would complete 75 years of its formation on December 12 and the establishment is gearing up to celebrate its Platinum Jubilee in a big way.

A host of activities, including a trekking-cum-cycling expedition to Thatipudi Reservoir, Platinum Jubilee Run on the Dolphin Hill, blood donation camp, visits to orphanages and old age homes and construction of community facilities in Naval residential areas, among others, are being planned, according to a release issued here on Sunday.

A symposium on ‘Evolving Role of Depot Ships’ is also scheduled to be held.

A First Day Cover issued by Department of Posts and a photo essay book would also be released on the occasion and the celebrations are scheduled to conclude with a Platinum Jubilee Dinner.

The INS Circars plans to invite all ex-Circars officers, serving and retired, to be a part of the occasion.

Those desirous of participating can forward their contact details to Coordinator Platinum Jubilee Celebrations by email enccircars-navy@nic.in and telephone 0891-2812498/ 2577527.
