To raise global awareness on environment among younger generation and to mark World Environment Day 2017, Essar Foundation of Essar Group and The Hindu, will jointly organise a plantation drive on Monday.
The green initiative, highlighting the current year’s theme, “Connecting People to Nature,” is being hosted at AP Tribal Welfare Residential School, Marikavalasa at Kommadi at 8 a.m. on Monday.
Apart from that to add more and more trees, plantation drive by the employees of Essar and NCC Cadets will continue on the plant premises on the same day from 10 a.m. on Monday. Nearly 200-250 NCC cadets are expected to participate in the drive.
