Phoenix IT Solutions of Visakhapatnam won the annual IT and ITES Industry Association of AP (ITsAP) cricket championship conducted in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Deloitte won the toss and chose to field.
Batting first, Phoenix IT Solutions scored 213 runs for five wickets in 20 over. Deloitte could garner only 203 runs losing 8 wickets.
This is the first time that Phoenix IT Solutions won the ITsAP championship.
Phoenix IT Solutions has achieved many records in this year’s championship such as highest-ever team score of 357 runs in 20 over and highest-ever individual score of 197.
Earlier this year, Phoenix IT Solutions also became the VITA cricket champion.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO and MD Murali Krishna Gannamani said this was a very proud moment for all “Phoenicians” that a team had won a prestigious championship.
