Philately, numismatic show a big draw

Numismatic and philatelic exhibition organised by Ukkunagaram Club in association with the Numismatic and Philatelic Society of Visakhapatnam turned into a big draw.

Several hundred schoolchildren from VSP Township visited the venue. The exhibition was inaugurated by RINL Executive Director (Finance) G.N. Murty.

Fifteen members of the Numismatic and Philatelic Society of Visakhapatnam displayed their State, national and international prize winning collection of stamps, first day covers of India and other countries and coins of ancient, medieval, Indian native States, British India and commemorative coins.

Quiz contest

As part of the annual club activities, the club also conducted quiz competitions among schoolchildren in which 48 teams participated. RINL AGM (Management Development) J. Rahul and winner of many national quizzes like Tata Crucible, Brand Equity and The Hindu Business Line conducted the quiz.

Both the winner and runners-up teams were from De Paul School, Ukkunagaram. Winner team consisted of G.V.N. Srikar and Apurbo Banerjee and runners up team M. Divya and A. Anjana Srivatsa.

Club honorary secretary K. Rajagopal Naidu and other office-bearers Y. Madhusudhana Rao, B. Ravi Shankar, B. Akkunaidu and K.P. Naidu were present.
