The Employees Provident Fund Organisation has filed a case in the Second Additional Magistrate Court for prosecution of president and secretary of a private junior college for non-compliance with the PF rules. Mega Junior Collage (Mega Educational Society) located near Rama Talkies is an establishment covered under the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. The said establishment failed to submit the yearly and monthly returns i.e., Form-5, Form-12A and Form-3A/6A, within the stipulated period from August 2009 to November 2010, according to Regional PF Commissioner Ajeet Kumar. The offence is punishable under Section 14(2) of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952.

Mr. Ajeet Kumar said similar action was being contemplated against all defaulting employers who have failed to submit the returns even after receipt of notices.
