The mood complemented the holiday season as magician Sk. Anwar Basha charmed the audience with his magic wand.
It was wholesome entertainment packed in many shades as 50 participants made their way to A.S. Raja Mahila Junior College for a two-day summer camp to foster their skills in the art of magic on Friday.
Some of the parents who accompanied their children could not help joining the training session.
Breaking the stereotype and adding an element of fun to the holiday list, the Bala Vikas Foundation came up with the training programme in magic.
Treating the little ones to an array of tricks, the magician lived up to the expectations of the audience, bringing smiles on their faces. He also shared a few tips on how to make the show more effective.
In all, five tricks were taught on the first day of the camp.
“In the two days, the trainer will teach to a total of 10 tricks. The aim is to help children improve their reasoning skills and nurture their scientific thought process,” honorary secretary of the foundation Narava Prakasa Rao said.
Those who wanted to surprise their friends with the new-found tricks jotted down the points meticulously. Apart from training the participants in magic, the session also laid emphasis on improving soft skills as also the skill to capture the attention of the audience through right body language.
Prerequisites“Concentrating on every detail and being observant are the two important prerequisites to enter the world of magic. Here, every gesture counts and one should be adept at diverting the attention while switching over to different stages,” explained Anwar Basha.
The camp, followed by a competition among the participants, concludes on Saturday.
