The delay in opening the flyover is causing hardship to people, says VDC

Citing the inordinate delay in completion and the patience displayed by people in spite of hardships so far, Vizag Development Council has demanded that Asilmetta flyover be opened within a week of it being certified technically fit for use.

In a statement here, council president P. Vishnu Kumar Raju and vice-president O. Naresh Kumar said if there were any safety concerns, people should be informed about them and timeframe indicated for rectification.

Stating that it was the responsibility of politicians to minimise problems for people the delay in opening the flyover was causing hardship to people, they suggested if political leaders had no time, the District Collector, the Municipal Commissioner or the Police Commissioner should inaugurate it.
