An online Passport Mela will be held at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) at Murali Nagar here on September 20. The online appointments would be released three days prior to the mela on September 17. Only fresh/normal and re-issue/normal applications will be accepted on the mela day. Applicants have to book their appointments online by registering themselves on the website www.passportindia.gov.in .
They should visit the PSK on scheduled date with a printout of Application Reference Number (ARN) sheet along with all requisite documents in original. Only passport applicants who get online appointment on the scheduled date will be allowed to submit their applications, according to Passport Officer NLP Choudary. Applicants under ‘Walk-in’ category, PCC, Tatkaal cases, pending cases and applicants without appointment would not be allowed on the scheduled mela day.
Passport camps Passport Seva Camps will be held at Kakinada and Bhimavaram soon as part of the outreach activities. Mr. Choudary said it was decided to organise Passport Seva Camps regularly at several places under the jurisdiction of the Passport Office.
