The Andhra University has decided to construct one more international hostel at an expense of Rs 4 crore. The decision was taken at the meeting of the Executive Council of the Andhra University which met under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor GSN Raju here on Tuesday.
With this there will be three international hostels on the campus and the university has decided to admit more foreign students into research and academic programmes, the Vice Chancellor said. The Executive Council approved the expenditure of Rs.19.95 crore of funds spent under 12 Five Year Plan period.
The Executive Council approved and gave promotions to 84 teachers under Career Advancement Scheme, 38 professors, 2 Associate Professors, 7 Assistant Professors and 37 Assistant Professors senior Scale.
