The Sampath Vinayagar Vanaprastha Charitable Trust has provided a home for senior citizens on a six-acre site at Gudigundam village, on the Simhachalam-Sontyam road in Anandapuram mandal.
Fifty six persons can be accommodated in the home which has cottages of different types.
To avoid the trouble of climbing stairs, all the accommodation is at the ground level, in the cottages.
The home for the aged is built is pollution-free and peaceful area and has a dining hall, yoga hall, library, continuous supply of water, hot water facility, food supply, two generators with a capacity of 62.5 KAV each and round-the-clock availability of vehicles, Executive Officer of Sri Sampath Vinayagar temple S.J. Madhavi has informed.
The monthly fee is according to the facilities available in each category. The fee is Rs. 4,350, Rs. 4,950, Rs. 6,300, Rs. 9,300, Rs. 9,990 and Rs. 11,700 while the refundable deposit is Rs. 12,000, Rs. 15,000, Rs. 20,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 40,000.
“There is a facility to stay for three or four days at the home for the aged to have a look at the facilities available, without paying the fee and interested can contact the office of the Sri Sampath Vinayagar Devasthanam near Aseelmetta or by calling 9032000104 or 9866575559 for details,” Ms. Madhavi said.
