The officers of NTPC Super Thermal Power Station-Deepanjalinagar staged a black badge protest on Tuesday in protest against diluting of benefits in maharatna companies.

The protest organised under the aegis of Simhadri Executives’ Association-NTPC in response to a call by Confederation of Maharatna Company Officers’ Associations (COMCO). COMCO had earlier given a call for gate meetings on August 30 and a dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Sept. 12.

SEAN president V.V. Seshu Babu, general secretary Y. Suresh Babu and NTPC Executives’ Federation of India member Rajiv Sadhanala took part in the black badge protest. Mr. Suresh Babu said COMCO had given a call for several protest programmes against curtailment of important recommendations of Third Pay Revision Commission like review of three years, increase in gratuity and income tax on housing perquisites.
