Outgoing Group General Manager of NTPC Simhadri A.K. Samanta on Monday inaugurated sports meet at Sadhana Kreeda Maidan at Deepanjalinagar Township near here by hoisting NTPC flag.
Speaking on the occasion, he emphasised the need of participating in the sports activities and advised the students to participate in a sportive manner. Around 400 students from 14 ZP high schools participated.
Track and field events comprised 100, 400 and 800 metres running for girls and 100, 400 and 1500 meters, long jump, shot-put, kho-kho, volley ball, throw ball, and tennicoit.
New Group General Manager Praveen Kumar Bondriya attended the valedictory function and distributed prizes.
